Description
A range of three cottages dating from the late 19th century, built in a Vernacular Revival style. The ground floor is of coursed rubble stone, while the first floor is tile-hung. The roof is tiled, with two ridge stacks and a rear end stack. The cottages are arranged in a T-shaped plan.
The south front displays a symmetrical facade, featuring two outer return gables with plain bargeboards and two semi-dormers, also with plain bargeboards between. The entrances to numbers 1 and 2 are recessed within the outer bays, each having a two-centred arched doorway and wooden supports for an overhang. Wooden balustrades are positioned between the supports. Number 3 is located in the T-wing and mirrors the design with a similar semi-dormer and a wooden doorcase in the southeast angle. It has a hipped tiled roof and a large ribbed brick end chimneystack to the north gable. The cottages are listed for their group value.
