Description
The Chaser Public House is a public house built in the late 19th century, designed in a vernacular Revival style. The building features a ground floor made of coursed rubble stone, with tile-hung walls above. It has an L-shaped layout and a plain tiled roof. The east front includes a half-hipped roof at the south end with a gablet, ridge stacks, and two hipped dormers on the left. To the right, there is a return gable with short barge-boards and painted framing at the angle. The structure has two storeys and six windows, with casements on the first floor. The ground floor has a verandah supported by wooden posts beneath an overhanging roof. On the north side, there is a taller return front of the main building to the left, featuring one hipped dormer, and a lower rear section of the stable court on the right with three small dormers. The stable court is located to the west of the main building and includes open wagon-sheds on the side, flanking a central two-storey block with double doors on the first floor. The building is included for its group value only.
