Description
Dode Church, also known as the Church of Our Lady of the Meadow, is a disused church located on the north side of Wrangling Lane in Snodland. It is believed to date from the 12th century and underwent significant restoration in 1905-1906, with further work in the late 20th century. The church is constructed of uncoursed flint with ashlar dressings and features a tiled roof. It consists of two cells and has small single-light round-arched windows in both the nave and chancel. There is a round-arched window at the east end with a moulded head, which has been extensively restored. The interior was not inspected during the most recent survey. Historically, the parish of Dode was united with Paddlestone in the 14th century.
