Description
The lodge to the west of Oxon Hoath, dated 1846, is likely designed by Anthony Salvin. It features a random rubble ground floor and a timber-framed first floor that jetties out to the south and west. The building has a plain tiled roof with decorated barge-boards and two gabled semi-dormers on the north and south sides. The south dormer is adorned with three twisted columns on either side of the windows and has carved panels on pedestals below. There is a central diagonally-placed quadruple chimney stack. The lodge has one storey and an attic, with casement windows on the front. A large gabled porch, also with barge-boarding, is located to the right of the south front and is flanked by two columns.
