Description

This early to mid-19th century bollard stands opposite number 16 King Street, West Malling. It is constructed of cast iron and is octagonal in shape, featuring recessed panels and a cornice with a leaf design on a gadrooned base. The bollard was erected to protect the jetty of the adjacent building from damage caused by heavy traffic.
