Description
Nos 120-126 on Mill Street are a row of cottages dating from the mid-17th century. The cottages are timber-framed and feature a mix of materials: No 126 is clad in red and blue brick, while Nos 122 and 124 are painted on the ground floor, with roughcast on the first floor of No 120. The ground floors of Nos 120 and 124 show some evidence of random rubble stone, and the timber frame is exposed on No 122. The cottages have a plain tiled half-hipped roof with brick ridge stacks at both ends. They are two storeys high, with five windows on the first floor and four on the ground floor, all fitted with casements. There are four doors: one at the left for No 126, two together for Nos 122-124 off-centre to the right, and one towards the right end for No 120. Nos 122 and 126 have boarded doors, while the others are glazed. Notably, No 120 has a first floor that extends over a car port.
