Description
Oakhill House is a Grade II listed building located on Tonbridge Road in Hildenborough. Originally constructed in the early 19th century, it was formerly a house and is now used as offices. The building is finished in stucco, featuring incised lines on the ground floor to mimic masonry. It has a hipped slate roof with a central stuccoed chimneystack and stands three storeys tall with attics, comprising six windows in total. The second floor features nine-pane sash windows, the first floor has twelve-pane sash windows, and the ground floor is adorned with fifteen-pane sash windows. There is a decorative band between the ground and first floors. The side elevations include one cambered dormer with a six-pane sash and one sash window alongside two blank spaces. On either side of the building are pavilions from a late 20th-century development for Fidelity International, which are not included in the listing. Inside, the entrance hall boasts four Tuscan-style marble fireplaces and a staircase with stick balusters and a mahogany handrail.
