Description

The Festival of Britain Fountain is a municipal fountain built around 1951 as part of the Festival of Britain celebrations. It is made of concrete, with the lowest circular bowl likely cast in place, and features metal fittings. Above this circular bowl, there are three hexagonal concrete fountain bowls that decrease in height and width, all rising from a central column. The lowest circular bowl has an indented lip, while the hexagonal supports flare out and curve upwards to a rounded lip at each level.
