Description

The Lodge is a mid-19th century house in Ramgsate, situated on the south side of Pegwell Road. Constructed of stone with a slate roof, it is a two-story building distinguished by ashlar quoins, string courses, and a parapet gable. A central stack punctuates the roofline. The upper floor features two sash windows, while the ground floor has two mullion casement windows, all fitted with shutters. A gabled wing extends to the right, incorporating a canted bay and a boarded door. Originally built as the gate lodge for the nearby Belmont House (now Bon Secours Nursing Home), The Lodge is included on the heritage list primarily for its group value alongside Belmont House.
