Description
Manston Court is a house dating from the early 19th century, located on Manston Court Road. The building is constructed of flint with brown brick dressings, and it has brick rear wings. It features a plain tiled roof and stands two storeys tall with a hipped roof. There are stacks at the rear left and rear right. On the first floor, there are three glazing bar sash windows, with the central window set at a lower level, all having segmental heads. On the ground floor, there is a glazing bar sash window to the right and a lean-to extension to the left. The house has a gabled central porch adorned with a finial on the moulded bargeboard, and it includes a boarded door with a skylight above. To the left of the house, there is a short stretch of wall, approximately 6 feet high, which features a small cusped lancet with an iron grill, a remnant of the 13th-century monastic grange buildings that once occupied the site.
