Description
These seven houses, located at the northwest corner of Cecil Square, were built around 1769. They are four storeys tall with a basement and an area, constructed from red brick. The houses on the north side have missing glazing bars. The doorcases on the north side feature open pediments with Tuscan three-quarter columns, semi-circular fanlights, and six-panel moulded doors. The houses on the west side now serve as the back of the Marks & Spencer premises on the High Street, and all the windows on the ground floor, along with the doorcases, have been blocked up. There is an arched carriageway through No. 10 at the west end of the north side, located in the corner of the square. Additionally, cast iron area railings are present.
