Description

The Waterside Private Hotel, located on Sea Road in Westgate-on-Sea, was built in 1882. It was awarded the Home of the Year Prize in that year. Designed by Georgc & Peto, the house is two storeys and has attics. The ground floor is built of red brick, while the upper floors are clad with fishscale tiles. The roof is tiled and features massive brick stacks. The building has three gables decorated with scrolled pargetting, and three casement windows on the second floor. Three canted bays project from the first floor, while the ground floor has two bays. The doorcase is supported by two Term-like brackets.
