Description

The tomb of Edward Bentham is a chest tomb located 25 yards southwest of the tower of the Church of St John the Baptist. It dates from 1756 and is made of stone with a marble top. The chest features raised rectangular panels with chamfered corners and has rectangular vases at each corner, all resting on a double plinth. The tomb is inscribed in memory of Edward Bentham, who died in 1756.
