Description
Hillside, located on Brent Hill in Davington, is a large house dating from the late 18th century or early 19th century, which has now been divided into two residences. The building is two storeys high and features six windows, constructed from red brick with a hipped tiled roof. The glazing bars are intact. The original doorway is situated in the section known as The Lawn, which is adorned with pilasters and a projecting cornice supported by bracketry. The west front of the house includes two bay windows on the tiled ground floor. Originally, this house was associated with the nearby gunpowder works. All the listed buildings in Brent Hill are part of a group.
