Description
Brent Hill Cottages are an early 19th-century pair of cottages located on the south-west side of Brent Hill in Davinoton. The cottages have two storeys and their main front faces south. The front is stuccoed and features two windows with intact glazing bars set in reveals. The roof is slate, with overhanging eaves. Originally, the doorways had round heads, and their original surfaces were covered over, with the tympana now blocked. The entrances are now on the side. A later lean-to annexe has been added to the east side. The north front, which runs flush with the street, is constructed of red brick. The cottages were originally part of the Home Gunpowder Works. The listed buildings of Brent Hill are considered to form a group.
