Description

Holly Tree Cottage is a cottage pair that has been converted into one house, dating from 1739. It features red and blue chequered brick and a plain tiled roof. The building stands two storeys high on a stepped plinth, with a discontinuous plat band and a moulded brick eaves cornice. There are stacks at both the left and right ends of the roof. Each floor has four wooden casements, with the ground floor windows having segmented heads. There are six-panel doors on both the left and right sides, each topped with flat hoods supported by brackets. The date "IH 1739" is inscribed on the brick above the central door.
