Description

Evans Row is a terrace of cottages dating to 1701, located on the south side of High Street, Queenborough. The buildings are two storeys high with attics and a basement. They are constructed of brick, painted brick, and pebbledash, with a half-hipped tiled roof featuring six hipped dormers. A brick modillion eaves cornice runs along the top of the building. The first floor has eight windows, originally in exposed frames; only two retain their original glazing bars. Most of the windows have been replaced with modern casement types. Some original panelled doors, featuring moulded sides and plain architraves, remain at numbers 51 and 53.
