Description

Nos 72 and 74 on High Street are a pair of buildings dated 1706, as indicated by a plaster plaque above the door, featuring the initials ERE. They are two storeys high with a basement and attics, constructed of red brick with some grey headers. The roof is tiled and has been renewed, featuring two hipped dormers. The eaves overhang and are adorned with a course of fine modillions. There is a part brick stringcourse, and the buildings have four modern sash windows set in exposed frames. The structures also have a plinth and two doorcases with panelled reveals and rectangular fanlights.
