Description

The lychgate, built around 1860 by E.L. Blackburne, is located 20 metres north-east of the Church of St. Peter and St. Paul. It features a timber frame set on a base of flint and dressed stone walls, topped with a plain tiled roof and crested ridge tiles. The half-hipped roof is supported by pierced arch bracing. There is a double gateway on the left and a single gateway on the right, both with half-panelled gates that have strapwork hinges and latches. This structure is included for its group value with the Church of St. Peter and St. Paul.
