Description
Queen Court Farmhouse and its outbuildings are a notable 15th-century timber-framed house located on Water Lane in Ospringe. The original structure features a studded design and stands two storeys high with three windows. It consists of a central section flanked by two wings that project on the first floor, supported by protruding floor joists and brackets. The eaves of the central portion are supported by curved braces. The first-floor windows are original casement windows with small square leaded panes, including two oriel windows that have a cove beneath them. Other windows on the property are modern casement windows. The farmhouse has a tiled roof, and at the south end, there is an additional window bay that was likely added in the 17th century. This bay is fronted with red brick that has been painted white, while the ends of the floor joists extend over the ground floor window. An original casement window with small square panes is present on the first floor. To the east of the house, there is a T-Wing made of red brick, also added in the 17th century, which is connected to a range of timber-framed outbuildings with brick infilling. Queen Court Farmhouse and Outbuildings form a group with the nearby barns.
