Description

This dovecot, located 30 yards west of Place Farm, dates from around 1700. It is constructed of red brick and features a plain tiled roof. The building is square in shape and consists of one storey set on a plinth, with a plat band and a hipped roof topped by a lantern. The south face has a double metal door, while the east face has one wooden casement window. Inside, the original brick shelves and recesses for the doves are still intact, and there is a circular wooden lantern at the apex of the roof.
