Description

Lion House is a house dating to 1674. It is constructed of chequered brick in a Flemish bond on the main front, with English bond to the return fronts, and has a plain tiled roof. The property has a gable front facing the road. It is two storeys and a garret in height, and stands on a plinth with a plat band and cornice. A central stack is present, along with a catslide outshot to the left. There is a single garret light and one first-floor window. The ground floor features two windows with gauged heads, all wood mullioned. A ribbed plank and stud door is centrally positioned on the right-hand side, set within a four-centred arched surround, and topped by a terracotta plaque bearing the inscription "G" with a corniced head. Above the door is the inscription "T A 1674".
