Description

The barn located 30 yards north-west of Place Farm dates from the 17th century. It is timber framed and clad with weatherboard, topped with an asbestos sheet roof. The barn features a hipped roof with a sloping mid-stray and a corrugated iron-roofed pentice on the left side. Inside, there are 5½ bays with aisles, passing shores to the arcade posts, cambered tie-beams, and clasped purlins. The roof includes diminished principal rafters and queen struts.
