Description

This is an 18th-century building, significantly altered in the 20th century with mock Tudor detailing. It comprises three properties: numbers 46, 48, and 48A on the High Street. The building is primarily brick with stone dressings, although number 46 has a tile-hung first floor and a large gabled dormer in its roof. Number 46 features two leaded casement windows on the ground floor and two projecting ones on the first floor. Number 48 is plainer, with four flush casements on the first floor, modern shop windows, and a central door, topped by two dormers. Number 48A is constructed of stone with brick details and has a single window. The entire structure has an old tile roof, with a mansarded section at number 48A.
