Description

No 88 on High Street is a late 18th-century building made of painted brick. It has a three-storey facade with two windows and features a moulded wooden cornice and a concealed leaded gutter. The roof is tiled and hipped to the left, connecting with No 86. The ground floor has a modern shop front, while the first and second floors feature a projecting splayed bay on the left, which contains sash windows and a painted boarded front designed to mimic stone courses. On the first floor to the right, there is a sash window set in a recessed round-headed panel, and a square sash window on the second floor to the right, with glazing bars. There is a yard entrance located between No 88 and No 90. Nos 86 to 92 (even) are part of a group.
