Description
Gardener's Cottage and Walls, Kitchen Garden is an 18th-century building that stands two storeys tall and features a three-window facade. The ground floor is constructed of local stone with flint infilling, accented by red brick quoins and dressings. The central entrance consists of panelled double doors with top lights, set beneath a flat segmental brick arch. On either side of the door, there are lattice casements, also topped with flat segmental brick arches. The first floor is finished in stucco, with incised lines that mimic stone courses, and there is a band of lead flashing between the stonework below and the stucco above. Three lattice casements are present on the first floor. The building has projecting eaves and a gutter, topped by a half-hipped ridge tile roof with a central brick stack. There are lean-to additions on both the right and left sides, and large walled kitchen gardens are located at the rear of the house.
