Description

Nos. 3 and 5, known as The Red House, is a picturesque cottage dating from the 16th century, situated at the corner of London Road and Maidstone Road. It has a hipped tiled roof and a prominent chimney. The cottage is two storeys high and features casement windows. The ground floor displays a mix of construction, including areas of half timbering with brick infilling, tile hanging above, and weatherboarding with plastering. A pantile lean-to roof extends from one side. Unsympathetic modern windows have been added to the ground floor.
