Description
The Old Lodge is a tall, narrow, two-storey building from the mid-19th century, designed by George Devey. It features high-pitched slated roofs with swept eaves and a projecting octagonal turret topped with a pointed roof. The building has a deep coved eaves soffit and is constructed of red brick with a pattern of blue headers. Notable stone dressings include a carved band above the first-floor windows in the turret, as well as window surrounds and mullions. The windows have fancy leaded casements, some of which have 4-centred heads.
