Description

The monument to the Lock family is located in the churchyard of the Parish Church of Saint Peter and Saint Paul in New Ash Green. This late 18th-century chest tomb commemorates the Lock family of Darenth Court. It features circular plaques on the sides, which are flanked by wheat ear drops, and oval plaques at the ends. The corners are adorned with reeded pilasters. The entire structure is set on a two-stepped plinth and is surrounded by cast iron spear railings, which have urn finials at the corners.
