Description

  1. Main block has core circa 1825 but was refaced by Pennethorne circa 1845. 2 storeys and attic. London stock brick with stone dressings. Slate roofs. South front is of 3 bays each with an oriel window carried through both floors. Attic window with hood moulding in a shaped gable is false. Interior includes original double cube drawing room, and above 3 vaulted bedrooms. All with plainly moulded cornice and joinery. It is in the Tudor manner. Pleasant conservatory to the left. Rest of house mainly late C19 (1877 on rainwater head over front door). Old porch glazed in. Carriage entrance blocked but Pennethorne's pinnacles remain. Windows mostly renewed as are the chimneys. 3 bargeboards in gables.
