Well Cottage is a restored 16th-century framed structure featuring brick elevations and a random stone plinth. It has a brick band and modern square-paned leaded casements set in wooden frames. The building is two storeys high, with eaves and a gutter, topped by a hip tiled roof that includes a central ridge stack. In front of the cottage, there is a restored well head with a shingle canopy. Well Cottage and Chapman's Farmhouse are part of a group.
