Description

These garden railings, dating from the 19th century, are located about 3 metres south of Tilts House on the north side of Cock Street in Boughton Monchelsea. The railings are made of iron and feature fleur-de-lys designs, standing approximately 1.5 metres high. Each section has a spear-head newel at the center, and they are mounted on a low stone-coped plinth made of red and grey brick. At each end of the railings, there are buff brick piers with ashlar bases and pyramidal coping, which flank a central gate.
