Description

Rose Cottages is a cottage row dating from the early 18th century. The cottages are built of chequered red and grey brick, with the right end having been refaced in red brick. The left gable end is tile-hung on the first floor. The roof is tiled, with a projecting red brick stack to the left end. The windows are irregularly placed and comprise double two-light casements. The ground-floor windows have segment-headed tops. The doors are plain, with segment-headed tops; No. 28 is off-centre to the left and No. 26 is towards the right end. A rear lean-to exists, constructed with stone walls and a tiled roof. The cottages are listed for group value.
