Description
Clapper Farmhouse is a farmhouse that dates from the 17th century or earlier and was built in at least two stages. It features a timber frame, with the right section rendered and the left section weatherboarded. The roof is covered in plain tiles and consists of two storeys and an attic. The left section has a gable end jetty, while the roof of the short left section is hipped to the left and has a much lower ridge than the right section. The right section has a steeply pitched roof that is gabled to the left and hipped with a gablet to the right. There is a multiple brick stack on the front slope of the roof towards the left end of the right section, and a small gabled dormer is present on the right section. The fenestration is irregular, featuring five small wooden casements: one three-light in the left section, one two-light under the stack, one four-light, and two three-light windows. A half-glazed door is located between the second and third windows from the right. Additionally, there is a low single-storey weatherboarded addition with a plain-tile roof at the right gable end. The interior has not been inspected.
