Description
This is a headstone from the 18th century, located 4 yards south of the south vestry of the Church of St Mary and All Saints in Boxley. The headstone features a design with a light half-scroll on either side of a concave top, which is connected to a light, inwardly-turned scroll below by cavettos that have a large fillet between them. The center of the headstone is carved with a skull on long crossed trumpets, with an hourglass on the left and an open book on the right. The memorial commemorates two individuals, including the wife of Thomas Sell, although the inscription is largely illegible at the time of resurvey.
