This is a mid-19th century building, originally a public house. The front elevation is stuccoed, with a slate roof and a parapet. Four rusticated pilasters extend throughout the height of the building. There are three sash windows with intact glazing bars, each with a cornice and console brackets above. The first floor has French windows and cast iron balconettes with an anthemion motif. A contemporary bar front is also present. The remaining elevations are rendered. The building is part of a group with No. 36 and has group value as a result.
