The monument to Thomas Newman is located about 13 metres north of the chancel of the Church of St. Mary in Hunton. This headstone dates from the early 18th century and is made of stone. It features a shaped and scrolled head that is carved with a face. The monument commemorates Thomas Newman, who was a gardener to Thomas Fane of Buston and passed away in 1710.
