Description

This is a chest tomb dating from the late 17th century, located about 4 metres west of the gable end of the Church of St Peter and St Paul. It is made of stone, with the plinth buried. The tomb features a corniced lid, a sunk moulded inscription panel, and flanking panels. There is an oval panel at each end. The north side is inscribed to Joan Cox, who died in 1694, although the inscription was barely legible at the time of the last survey.
