Description
Yalding Library is a building that was originally a house and is now used as a shop. It dates from the late 17th century or early 18th century and features a distinctive chequered pattern of red and grey brick. The roof is made of plain tiles and has two storeys plus an attic, set on a rendered plinth. There is a plat band on the right gable end and a coved plastered eaves cornice. The roof is half-hipped on the right side and connects with Interphil House to the left. At the rear, there is a projecting stack made of red and grey brick. The front of the building has a regular arrangement of four windows, consisting of two six-pane sash windows and two painted dummy sashes. A half-glazed door is located on the right gable end. The interior has not been inspected. The brickwork of Yalding Library extends a short distance into Interphil House on the left.
