Description
Interphil House is an early 19th-century house located on Yalding High Street. It is constructed of red brick in Flemish bond, with a chequered pattern of red and grey brick at the right end, which continues from the adjoining building. The house features a plain tile roof and is of double depth, positioned at a slight angle to The Coach House next door.
The building has two storeys and a cellar, set on a chamfered brick plinth. It includes a plat band and a dentilled brick eaves cornice. The roof extends continuously with The Coach House on the left and the adjoining building on the right. A brick ridge stack is located towards the left end of the roof. The front facade has a regular arrangement of two windows: one tripartite sash window on the left (with another directly below it on the ground floor) and one twelve-pane sash window on the right. All windows feature cambered heads and splayed rubbed brick voussoirs. There are half-glazed double doors with a flat bracketed hood, accessed by two steps, at the right end of the building. The interior has not been inspected.
