Description
This is a 17th-century barn located about 20 meters south-west of Mill Farmhouse. It is timber framed and weatherboarded, standing on a brick plinth. The left gable end, which can be seen from the lean-to, features exposed framing with tension braces above the midrail connecting to the principal posts and a full-height central post. The infilling consists of stave and daub, which is covered with combed plaster, while the area below the midrail has lath and plaster. The barn has a corrugated iron roof and is approximately three timber-framed bays wide with a gabled design. There is a small boarded hatch towards the left end and double doors on the right side at single-storey height. The interior includes shaped jowls and arch braces, and the roof is supported by aligned butt purlins with straight windbraces and vertical queen struts to the collars. This barn is included for its group value.
