Description
Cotuams House, along with The Cottage and a wall and gatepier attached to the northwest, is a house dating from the late 18th century. It features channelled render and a plain tile roof, consisting of two parallel ranges that rise two storeys above a painted plinth. The building has a rendered plat band and a modillioned eaves cornice, with a projecting brick gable and stacks. The front has a regular arrangement of six windows, which are recessed 12-pane sashes. The entrance door is made up of eight fielded panels and is set in a panelled recess beneath the third window from the right. A corniced Doric porch leads up four steps to the door. To the left, there is a lower two-storey section that has a plain parapet and two recessed 12-pane sashes. The interior has not been inspected. Additionally, there is a wall that projects forward from the right gable end, made of painted brick and standing at a single storey height, with a rectangular pier topped by a ball finial at the road end.
