Description
Little Millgate is a house from the early 19th century, consisting of two unequal sections. It is built from gault brick and has a slate roof. The building stands two storeys high, featuring hipped roofs for each section that are separated by a valley to the left of the centre. There is a corniced stack located in this valley. The front has an irregular arrangement of five glazing-bar sash windows, with two on the left end and three more widely spaced from the centre to the right.
A tall wooden doorcase is positioned under the central window, supported by fluted Doric pilasters that carry an entablature and a flat corniced hood. Above the door, there is a small rectangular fanlight. The door itself has a glazed panel with a two-centred arched head. At the back of the left section, there is a wing that is also early 19th century, made of gault brick, and stands two storeys high with a corniced stack.
