Description

This is a table tomb located approximately 3 yards north of the chancel of the Church of St Mary the Virgin. It dates from the late 18th century or early 19th century and is constructed of stone on a stone base. The tomb features a moulded plinth, a corniced lid, and Greek key decoration at the corners of the panels. The south side commemorates Anne, the wife of Mr. David B- (surgeon), who died in 1761, and Edward Watt, who died in 1799. The inscription was partially illegible at the time of the last survey.
