Description
Ashbank Cottage is a house that was originally a farmhouse, dating back to the medieval period, with alterations made in the early 19th century. The ground floor features roughly coursed ragstone with red brick dressings around the window on the right side only. The first floor is weather-boarded on the left and tile-hung on the right. The roof is covered with plain tiles. The building has a main range with a cross-wing to the left and stands two storeys tall. There is a red brick chimney stack at the right end. The windows have irregular placements and are fitted with glazing bar sashes. A boarded door is located at the left end of the main range. The interior has not been inspected.
