Description
This is a row of houses located in Hollingbourne, dating from the early 18th century, with alterations made in the late 18th or early 19th century. The ground floor is constructed of chequered red and grey brick, while the first floor was originally plastered but is now exposed studding with rendered infilling. The roof is covered in plain tiles and sits upon a galletted stone plinth. The building has two storeys and an attic. It features thin, closely-set studs with straight bracing along with a coved plaster eaves cornice. The roof is half-hipped with a central brick ridge stack and smaller stacks towards each end. There are three flat-roofed dormers. The windows are irregular in arrangement and consist of six 16-pane sashes, with moulded cornices to the ground-floor windows. There are panelled doors located at numbers 6 and 8 on the right end, at number 10 within a narrow entry to the left of number 8, at numbers 12 and 14 between the left and central stacks, and at number 16 on the left end. The interior has not been inspected.
