Description
The Church of Holy Trinity is a church built between 1826 and 1828, designed by the architect John Whichcord. It is constructed of ragstone ashlar. The west front features six Tuscan pilasters, with the four central ones projecting, and includes a cornice, parapet, and pediment. Above this is a square tower, flanked by thin pilasters, with a round-headed opening between them and a spire above. The main body of the church, the nave, has seven bays with round-headed windows on the first floor and cambered windows on the ground floor. A heavy, moulded stone cornice runs along the top, with a plinth at the base. The church is no longer in ecclesiastical use. It forms a group with the buildings at Nos 1 to 9 Marsham Street (consecutively numbered) and Nos 21 to 29 Church Street (consecutively numbered).
