Description

The Old Forge and Old Forge Cottage is a building that dates back to the late 14th century and is part of a "hall house." It stands two storeys tall and is constructed of brick and weatherboarding. The roof is half hipped and features two "eyebrow" dormers with casement windows. There is a long window located under the eaves at the south end of the building. The structure has modern additions and a 19th-century cottage at the north end. Inside, there are large timbers, a two-centred arch leading to the service doorway, and a crown post roof supported by braces, with collars that are jointed with open tenons.
