Description

The former Baptist Church, located at 23 Rendezvous Street in Folkestone, was built by Joseph Gardner between 1873 and 1874. This two-storey building features a basement and has a front elevation that is stuccoed, while the rest is constructed of stock brick. It has a slate roof and a pediment with a modillion cornice, along with a stone balustraded parapet. The building also has a dentilled cornice and is supported by four massive coupled Composite columns that extend through both storeys, with Composite pilasters at the corners. There are two round windows on the first floor and triple round-headed windows on the ground floor, which is accessed via a round-headed arch and curved steps leading to the street.
