Description

Gribble House is an 18th-century house, with alterations from the 19th and 20th centuries. The ground floor is built of red brick in a Flemish bond, with occasional grey bricks, while the first floor has fishscale tiles bordered by plain tiles. The roof is tiled, with a half-hipped design and a central stack positioned behind the ridge. Dormers flank the roof, each topped with a triangular pediment. The front facade features five windows, most being 2-light casements, with two ground floor windows being 3-light casements. The original central doorway is broad, featuring two sunk beaded panels, and is now sheltered by a later wooden porch with a triangular pediment and high frieze. Rear lean-to additions extend from the right and left wings. Inside, there are exposed beams and a few original 18th-century doors.
